Sigma provides ASNT/CSWIP/PCN Level I, II, & III technicians for Phased Array (PAUT) and Time-of-Flight-Diffraction (TOFD) Testing to detect anomalies (flaws) in welds, metal pipe, vessels, and metal floor/wall sheets.
The TD Focus-Scan is a multifunction ultrasonic inspection system, designed to seamlessly perform multi-channel PAUT, TOFD, Pulse Echo, Corrosion Mapping, and ASME compliant Girth/Seam weld inspections.
PAUT/TOFD is widely used for NDT/NDE in the construction and maintenance of refineries, chemical plants, pipelines, and electric/water generation. PAUT/TOFD detects discontinuities i.e., cracks or flaws and thereby determine component mechanical integrity. With the ability to control parameters such as beam angle and focal distance, PAUT/TOFD is very efficient regarding defect detection and swiftness of testing. The discontinuities can be graphically displayed as a B-Scan/C-Scan and stored as a digital image.
