Sigma is a full-service Mechanical Integrity Assessment and Nondestructive Testing/Evaluation (NDT/NDE) company founded in early 2017 in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Additional branch offices were opened in Lagos, Nigeria, in 2018, and in Fujairah, UAE, in 2022. The USA office in Houston, Texas, opened in February 2021, and Sigma has since added operations in Iraq, Qatar, Uganda, and Kazakhstan.
The company excels at providing certified professionals experienced with industry codes and regulations. Sigma's inspectors and technicians maintain interdisciplinary academic, scientific, and industrial certifications and memberships from standards organizations such as API, ASNT, AWS, CSWIP, PCN, ASME, NBIC, NCCER, IEEE, ANSI, EEMUA, AMPP, NACE, SPE, PRCI, AIA, and NFPA. Additionally, Sigma is an OSHA and ISO compliant company, holding ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), ISO 45001:2018 (Health & Safety), and ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental) certificates.
The foundation of Sigma's success originates from a corporate commitment to Safety, Reliability, and Quality Assurance (SR & QA). Throughout its history, Sigma has safely provided exceptional quality service by adhering to budgets and completing deliverables on time and as specified. The industry benchmarks for health, safety, and environmental practices that Sigma has adopted are integral components of every project.
The company's value is derived from three core competencies. First, Sigma has a dedicated workforce that is employed, educated, and trained hands-on. Second, Sigma has established strategic alliances and partnerships with key companies in the industry. Third, Sigma has made a significant capital investment in safety, equipment, vehicles, procedures, education, and training for NDT/NDE and QA/QC personnel.
Sigma is pleased to announce that it is an approved vendor for ADNOC, ENOC, ADWEA, and Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation. Notably, Sigma was contracted for three of the largest projects in the world in the past year: the Dangote Refinery in Lagos, Nigeria, the Abengoa and Sepco III projects in Spain and Abu Dhabi, UAE, and the ADNOC project in the UAE. These projects have contributed to Sigma's growth as the largest inspection services company in the UAE.
Our company website, www.sigmaoilsolution.com, provides a comprehensive portfolio of services. Sigma is the exclusive UAE authorized provider of SafeRad Technology from the United Kingdom. As an addendum to its inspection services, Sigma has established Subject Matter Experts for Induction Heat Treatment in pre-heat and post-heat annealing.
Sigma provides inspection services for turnarounds and shutdowns. Our staffing for these projects include the following certified personnel:
- API 510 / 570 / 653 Inspectors

Sigma provides Fitness-For-Service (FFS) assessments complying with API 579 and ASME FFS 1-2007. We use the methods and procedures from these industry standards to augment the requirements in API 510/570/653 and other post-construction codes referencing FFS evaluations, such as NBIC.
Our company employs a multi-disciplinary team of certified professionals (API, ASNT/PCN/CSWIP, AMPP/NACE, AWS, NCCER) as needed for validating the structural integrity of equipment and systems in the oilfield (midstream), refining (downstream), and petrochemical industries.
Certified personnel collect quantitative measurements, determine the properties of the material used in the assessment, identify any damage, corrosion, or stress, perform a Remaining Life calculation (including the future corrosion allowance or damage rate), and recommend appropriate remediation and monitoring tasks.
Sigma's FFS recommendations follow Process Safety Management (PSM) and OSHA CR 29 1910.119 criteria for the continued safe operation of an asset.
